Tis' the Season

This is a project I wanted to do for myself with personal restrictions. Each diorama had a limit of 700 tris, and a 256x256 Diffuse + Alpha. And I wanted them to each have 3 things that represented the seasons. I cheated a little on the fall one, but I'm okay with that.

I'm happy with how they turned out. I'm particularly happy with the trees, I think they turned out awesome. Without further ado, I present, my seasons:

  1. Hi Gessi, your work is really fun!

I find the tree in 'Spring', apart from its base, quite beautiful.

Two things: I think the tree and axe in 'Autumn' are great and the scene itself would be improved if the terrain texture were reworked so the fallen leaves had a stronger relationship with the tree.

I also think it's more common to find snow on the outside of the branches of trees in winter than on the inside.

On a final note: I'd like to see these objects casting shadows. The angle and proximity of the sun gives each season special character!
The ambiance of each season can be captured by careful manipulation of the light source.

Thanks for posting and keep them coming!
